Kate’s black-and-white Converse Chuck Taylors are more than just a pair of sneakers—they are a connection to every chapter of her life. She first slipped into them around the 6th grade, likely inspired by a Kurt Cobain image, and since then, they’ve become her signature. From adolescence to adulthood, these shoes have been with her through it all.
Kate’s fourth or fifth pair of Chucks, still low-tops and classic, are now a part of her identity. While she’s branched out with other shoes for comfort, these sneakers still bring her back to her roots, giving her the confidence she had in high school.
