Born and raised in India, Nikita Desai is a self-taught visual artist who now resides in sunny Southwest Florida where she creates beautiful and inspiring works of art.
Her oil paintings are a stunning tribute to the natural beauty that surrounds us, with a focus on moody, impressionistic landscapes that evoke a sense of abundance and prosperity found in nature. Each brushstroke is carefully placed to bring out the rich colors and textures of the world around us, and her attention to detail is second to none.
Nikita’s love for painting began at a young age, and she has spent years honing her craft to become the skilled artist she is today. She is passionate about creating beauty with her hands and spreading joy through it.
Artist Statement
The opulent beauty of nature is a constant source of joy and inspiration for me. My aim is to capture that feeling of joy and wonder in my paintings through the use of vibrant yet harmonious colors, compelling compositions and textural mark making.
Creating beauty with my hands is my passion and as a self-taught artist, I am constantly learning through exploration of different techniques and mediums.
My current body of work consists of impressionistic landscapes and moody florals in oils, acrylics and oil pastels.
